Focus on God // Philippians 4:8

There is so much in the world that deceives, distracts, divides, discourages, and depresses. God doesn’t want you to focus on those things, but to have — and keep! — a heavenly perspective. This isn’t just about the power of positive thinking, but the power of faith, hope, and love. Faith tells us that God is real; hope tells us that God wins in the end; and love is the power that animates life and moves us into God’s presence. These are the things God wants you to focus on and center yourself; especially when you encounter the junk in the world that deceives, distracts, divides, discourages, and depresses you. Don’t let it pull you down; no, trust God to lift you up into His holy presence!
