Every Today Matters // Hebrews 3:13

Every year, we pause on National Employee Appreciation Day to express gratitude for the people who make our teams thrive. But Scripture reminds us that appreciation and encouragement aren’t meant to be annual events—they’re meant to be daily disciplines. Hebrews 3:13 calls us to “encourage one another daily, as long as it is called ‘Today.’”

There’s something powerful about that word today. It’s God’s gentle reminder that every day we’re given breath is another opportunity to lift someone up, to notice their effort, and to express genuine gratitude. In a world quick to critique and slow to affirm, encouragement becomes an act of faith—it keeps hearts soft, morale strong, and spirits anchored in hope.

So, while today might be marked on the calendar for employee appreciation, God invites us to see every day as Appreciation Day. Every “today” is sacred ground where we can speak life, celebrate others, and make workplaces a little brighter.
