Encouragement and Endurance // Romans 15:4

Romans 15:4, “For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.”

The last couple days we have seen how Jesus was present in the beginning, is with us now, and promises to be with us forever. Today’s verse helps us in the here-and-now as we seek to live in peace with another, help those in need, and point people to Jesus. You will undoubtedly find someone today who needs the hope and help of Jesus. Will you take a moment right now to think about who that might be, lift a quick prayer, and then consider how you might be able to help? Do that and find God’s eternal encouragement to give you His holy endurance to live for the Lord today and every day.
