Drawn Parallels // Matthew 10:31

Happy International Draw a Bird Day! This is a day that originated in England and has spread in its whimsy around the world. This is not a day to worry about your artistic ability, but to have a little fun in drawing a bird, any kind of bird. Jesus used a small bird to draw a parallel about how God cares for His children. Jesus taught that God cares for the sparrows, and then asks how much more important are we to God than a little bird? Jesus connected fearlessness to this, because of the sentiment the Apostle Paul would later echo in Romans 8 that is God is for us, who can be against us. So, I hope you’ll take a moment to draw a little bird today, and as you do, draw a similar parallel as Jesus did about your importance to the Father.
