Don’t Forget // Hebrews 13:16

What are you prone to forget? Reminders often begin with the words, “don’t forget.” I don’t know about you, but it strikes me that today’s verse reminds us not to forget to do good and share with others. Now, I don’t think we really need reminders to do good as though it’s something we’d forget; rather, I think this is a reminder for us to be mindful of our human nature. We can be lazy, selfish, and conniving if left to our own devices. We see such behavior in immaturity whereas the Lord wants us to strive toward maturity and grow to be more like Jesus. So, be mindful of your natural tendencies toward laziness, selfishness, and other negative traits as you interact with others today. Make it a point to do good and share the goodness of God in your life. And if you make a point to remember God’s presence and power in your life, it is unlikely you will forget to do and share the good. Let’s make it a great day, shall we?!
