Do it for Jesus // 1 Corinthians 10:31
What’s on your agenda for the day? Is it gonna be big and busy, or slow and serene? Regardless what your clock or calendar holds, let today’s verse be your guide: “Whatever you do, do it for the glory of God.” That’s equally true if you’re in a high stakes business meeting or scrubbing toilets. One of the ways to think about God’s glory is being in His presence. Remember that God is always with you in the meaningful and menial tasks alike. Jesus gave us this model when He washed His disciples’ feet down taught about how our posture should always be one of service (see John 13:1-17). The Apostle Paul wrote about how living our everyday lives for God, despite the craziness around us in the world, is actually an act of worship (see Romans 12:1-2)! It’s all about using our lives to point people to Jesus. So, let today’s verse be your compass as you prepare to navigate the day. Worship God in service and help everyone see that God is good, now and forever.
