Do A Grouch A Favor Day // Colossians 3:13
Do you have a grouch in your life? I think we all do. Lemme ask another question. Are you in someone’s life who would call you a grouch? Sure, we all have our bad days, but people with consistently sourpuss attitudes are so difficult to be around much time at all. I think Colossians 3:13 gives us a good piece of wisdom for how we might be able to do a favor for a grouch: “Do not become angry with each other. If you think that someone has done something wrong against you, forgive them. Remember that the Lord has forgiven you. So you should also forgive other people” (EASY). We see in a verse like this one that forgiveness might just be the favor a grouch needs due to the hand they’re dealt by life. And what we see as well is we need to be reminded that God does us a favor when we’re grouchy, too, in terms of forgiving us. So, how about extending a hand of grace and mercy to someone who truly needs it. Lend an ear to hear or let them lean on your shoulder. We all know that life can drag us down, so do a favor for a grouch by finding a way to lift them up closer to the heart of God.
