Commit // Proverbs 16:3

All too often we get the crux of today’s verse backwards. We want God to bless our plans and we can get bent out of shape when we sense He doesn’t. Whenever you read the word, “commit,” remember that it means to deliberately carry out an act. Are you deliberate about taking your plans to God? Ask Him if your plans are inline with His. Ask Him to reveal your blindspots. Wisely seek out things you didn’t consider. God might say no. He might indicate you need to go slow. Maybe you need to grow a little more. Or maybe God will say GO! Regardless, when you make the deliberate decision to carry your plans to God first, and allow Him to establish your next step, you won’t believe what will come of them. So, commit away!
