Choose // Psalm 119:30
Did you know that the average adult makes some 35,000 choices a day? Seems crazy, doesn’t it? Some of those decisions are second nature and don’t require much brain power. Others are huge that can be draining mentally, emotionally, and even physically. We need to think about the power of choice when it comes to our faith lives. We need to choose God and God’s way by reading His Word and discerning His will. Going God’s way requires a choice. I think about Joshua 24:15 and a famous passage about choosing God: “But if you refuse to serve the LORD, then choose today whom you will serve…. But as for me and my family, we will serve the LORD.” We are confronted with thousands upon thousands of choices every day. As we kick off this new day, will you choose God first and foremost? Choose God and watch how everything else seems to fall into place. Choose and choose wisely.
