Changed Lives Change the World // John 3:3
God uses transformed lives to transform the world. I used to wonder what impact I could have, but it didn’t long before it became clear. In the words of author Aldous Huxley, “There’s only one corner of the universe you can be certain of improving, and that’s your own self.” As much as I like it, that’s only partially true. People can change, but we lack the sole power to do what needs to be done in our lives. Enter God! Jesus told the Pharisee, Nicodemus, that we must be born again in order to see the Kingdom of God. That essentially means that God’s Kingdom is ever-present, but it’s almost impossible to see without God’s help. God longs to share it and does so lovingly to all who accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. That brings about a change that the Lord uses to transform our lives that in turn transform the world. We might not be able to affect much change in capital cities like Atlanta or Washington, but what about your home? Your office? Your school? Your church? The impact you have with those closest to you creates ripple effects that spread and spread and spread. So, turn to Jesus and let Him deliver you from your old worn-out way of living, and let Jesus change you so you can help Him change the world!
