Centered Thoughts // Isaiah 26:3
Where do your thoughts typically go? Do you have any ideas that seem to grab hold of you and won’t let go? The more we tend to think on things, the larger they tend to loom in life. Today’s verse tells us that God keeps those in perfect peace whose mind is centered on Him. What a beautiful thought! Have you ever heard the famous Henry Ford saying that “whether you think you can or you think you can’t — you’re right”? Buddha said, “What you think, you become. What you feel, you attract. What you imagine, you create.” All this points to the same truth that God keeps in perfect peace those who think on Him. So, if you’re facing some sad or scary thoughts, center your focus to the Lord. Fix your eyes on Jesus who gave us the example of keeping your mind on God even — and especially! — during hard times (Hebrews 12:2). May that be our model today, and call to find peace and trust in the Lord by centering our thoughts on Him.
