Cast Your Cares then Cut the Line // 1 Peter 5:7

I think I do a fairly good job of casting my anxieties on God. Where I get in trouble is my propensity to reel them back in. Can you relate? God doesn’t want you to take your troubles to Him and then take them back; no, He wants to keep them and work them out in His own holy way. So if you cast your cares on the Lord today, and feel yourself reeling them back in, quit. Cut the line. Remember that God, in His infinite kindness, called you to share in His eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus, and after you’ve suffered a little while, promises to restore, support, and strengthen you on the strong foundation of Jesus (1 Peter 5:10). Trust it. Trust Jesus. Cast your worries then cut the line.
