Be Still // Psalm 46:10

I am someone who can get spun up with anxiety. I am sure I’m not alone. Today’s verse is one I regularly turn to when my angst revs me up to the point where I can’t still my mouth, mind, or movement. “Be still and know that I AM GOD” (emphasis mine). God wants you to remember who is in charge. You can’t outwork God, so why try? You’ll only end up exhausted and exasperated. Are you all worked up over something? Are you so spun up about something that you can’t still, or even slow, your mouth, mind or movement? Spend time today working to be still and know that God is God. He will be exalted in all the earth and that includes above the things that you feel are bigger than you. I pray stillness for you today. Will you pray the same for me?
