Be Still // Psalm 46:10
I love today’s verse! It is one I turn to in times of anxiety when I can’t seem to still my mind. When my brain is running all over the place, I must remember the words of Psalm 46:10, “Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.” Here is a priceless nugget of truth: God is God and you are not. Your stewing without doing will not accomplish anything. God is the one who will be honored throughout the world. So, if you are feeling as though you’re running around like a chicken with its head cut off, stop, breathe, and remember the wisdom from Psalm 46:10. Be still. Know God is God. Find peace in the assurance that the time will come when God will be honored throughout the world. Until then, don’t try to do God’s work. You can’t. What you can do, though, is be still and know who indeed is Lord of all.
