Be Kind // Ephesians 4:32
Ephesians 4:32 | Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
Kindness is simple, but it isn’t always easy. Why? We can get caught up in the details and miss the heart of the matter. When you think about it, we are all carrying something. Struggling. Maybe even suffering. Kindness — whether it’s from a beloved friend or family member or complete stranger — can cast a light to illuminate any darkness we encounter. The Bible gives us the idea that there is a kindness/forgiveness connection. Have you experienced that? The breakdowns in relationships can bring us some of the heaviest heaviness we experience. God agrees. That’s precisely why forgiveness is the pathway to salvation! Jesus grants the offer of forgiveness through forgiveness of sins and that is the greatest act of kindness in eternity. Friend, there is still love to be found in the world. Begin with God since love is God’s very nature. Share that with someone and you’ll find a fairly simple way to tell another struggling soul that there is love to be found in the world. Dear Lord, let it be.
