The Apostle Paul was not denigrating exercise. He knew it was good for the body. Still, he wanted to make sure that when people think about health that they take a wholistic approach. We can walk, run, swim, jump, and lift heavy things until failure, but we best not neglect the other disciplines that strengthen our spiritual heart and mind. We need to worship, study, serve, pray, play, and rest to ensure our entire self is strong inside and out. Have you found yourself neglecting any kind of discipline to get or stay in shape?
