All Encompassing Love // Deuteronomy 6:5

Deuteronomy 6:5 (NIV) | Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.

The Bible teaches us to love God with all we are and have. The idea we read in today’s verse is to love God physically, spiritually, and emotionally. An all-encompassing love. A love that weaves our lives in totality with the eternal presence of God. This means we must make a choice when times are tough not to let the flame of love flicker and die. Check out Romans 12:11-12, “Don’t burn out; keep yourselves fueled and aflame. Be alert servants of the Master, cheerfully expectant. Don’t quit in hard times; pray all the harder” (MSG). God’s all-encompassing love is the fuel you need to face the world, and it’s the love He wants you to share with our lost and lonely world.
