Abundant Life // John 10:10

I LOVE today’s verse, which is perfect for the day — John 10:10 on October 10th (or 10/10). Jesus said He came to give us life and life abundantly. This is in direct contrast to what He said about the enemy (i.e., the devil) who came to steal, kill, and destroy. Don’t confuse Jesus’ offer of abundant life with physical things, though; that is what the enemy wants you to do. Jesus’ offer of abundant life isn’t material but spiritual. Jesus’ offer is eternal life. Satan tries to discourage and depress by robbing us of the physical trappings of this world. Don’t let him. Trust Jesus, His grace, faithfulness, and offer of eternal, abundant life. After all, that’s precisely why Christ came!
