A Blessing // Numbers 6:24-26

Today’s verse is a priestly blessing God gave to Moses for Aaron and sons to bless the Israelites: “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” It carries great meaning to me as it was the benediction (or dismissal with blessing) we used at the end of youth group sessions when I was a student. It was traditional amongst many United Methodist Youth Fellowships and something I was able to continue experiencing when I went into vocational ministry. I hope this blessing will bless you this day as it has blessed me these past few decades. May God’s light, love, and eternal life bless you with peace today and every day!
