3 Ss // Romans 3:23-24

Today’s verse can be organized by looking at the letter, S. We all SIN. We all fall short of God’s STANDARD. God SAVES us because of who He is and not who we are. Yes, God’s standard is perfection, but that need not deter you from coming to Him. You can trust God to cover you with Jesus’ perfection so you are seen through Christ. And again, this isn’t because of who you are — or have done — but who Jesus is and what Jesus did for you on the cross. So to recap, God has a standard. You have a sin-problem. Jesus solved this on the cross. Now, you can trust Him to make you right in His eyes.
