MISSION Opportunities
Nothing fuels compassion and generosity like face to face missions. In the faces of those who are less fortunate we see the grace of God and the best of who we are. God calls us to share the light of Jesus with others by meeting real needs – here, there, and everywhere! Find out more below, contact the leader, and get involved.
Missions
Weekend Snackpack
Hope Church illustrates God’s love to 90+ children in the community every week through our Weekend SnackPack Program. This program provides supplemental, kid-friendly food for students in need on weekends. Get involved with weekly packing, food purchases, and donations. These items are always welcomed: microwavable ravioli, ramen noodles, Easy Mac, fruit cups, applesauce cups, granola bars, instant oatmeal or grits packs, individually wrapped salty and sweet snacks.
Summer Lunch
Hope Church illustrates God’s love to children over the summer break months by providing and delivering lunches daily M-F. We deliver the lunches to families in needy communities. In addition to volunteer opportunities, if you shop at Kroger, register your Kroger Plus Card with Kroger Community Rewards and select Hope Church Dallas (Organization Number AA172) as your charity. A percentage of your total purchases will be given to our SnackPack/SummerLunch program. Go to www.krogercommunityrewards.com and get signed up today!
Christmas for Cameroon
Hope Church illustrates God in the African country of Cameroon. We offer toys and hygiene products to children who are living in orphanages. Many of these children either have never received a gift or only receive a gift at Christmas when we bring them. Emmanuel and Evodia Fonji, natives of Cameroon, lead this effort each year. The primary giving efforts happens with our Christmas in July campaign and the gifts are delivered in December through a small mission team.
New Opportunies
As Hope Church grows we intend to also grow the profile or mission opportunities. We believe it is important for believers in Christ to meet practical needs in the lives of the most needy among us. God has called us to make difference here there and everywhere. Every new mission opportunity is vetted by the Hope Church Board and aligns with the mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ.
Fundraising Application
We recognize that from season to season there is a need for funding requests beyond general giving.
When this occurs, the fundraising event require a written application to be approved by a staff member and by vote of the Finance Team at the next scheduled gathering.
