Choosing God’s plan
by Mary Stout
God has the power to provide you with more than enough of every kind of grace. That way, you will have everything you need always and in everything to provide more than enough for every kind of good work. (2 Corinthians 9:8 CEB)
I attended a memorial service recently of a person I didn’t know. Strange, huh? I helped someone get on zoom and I stayed. The most striking thing that I came away with is when you live your faith, the Lord blesses you. Time and time again there were stories that pointed out this one thing. When you live into your faith and trust him, he takes care of you.
I was so honored to witness the loving words, the big faith, the tenacious spirit, and the meaning of family and big love that is ours when we step into alignment with God’s plan and purpose for our lives.
Seek first the kingdom of God and all things will be added to you. (Matthew 6:33)
Now that’s a promise we can count on. As we dig deeper into our faith, we find our sole connection to the Father a most satisfying, joyful one. We find our needs are met even before we ask. It’s amazing, isn’t it?
Let’s make a daily choice. ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’ (Acts 17:28, NIV)
Perhaps the Lord had a plan for my attending that service I was unaware of. It taught me so much about how kingdom focus brings us a richness in life we don’t see without that sacred connection.
As we do, we bring Him glory and honor. Giving those who have never heard the good news a glimpse of glory on earth means choosing to connect daily. Let’s do it!
